BACKGROUND

The owner and managing director of Danzab, Mr Darren Booysen, has more than 18 years’ experience in
the audio visual industry, having received awards for professionalism and quality of service.

At the beginning of his working career he was employed by a well reputed audio visual company. Based at the
Hyatt Regency Hotel, he managed their audio visual department for the last year of his tenure. He has also
serviced a variety of corporate, medical, governmental and engineering companies doing work such as
supplying, setting up and running of public address systems, mics, screens, projectors, audio & video
recordings, tele & video conferencing, staging, lighting, band set ups etc, as well as operating from different
venues which include: The Sandton Convention Centre, Sun City, Ratanga Junction and a
host of other conferencing venues and convention centres in the country.

He then went on to work at a Recording and Transcription company, specializing in digital and analogue voice
recordings of meetings and legal matters and supplying the clients with cd’s and transcripts of the relevant
recordings. During his tenure there he serviced recognised companies such as: The Premier Soccer League,
Lonmin Mines, The Development Bank of SA and various government departments and law firms.

He then did a short stint as a consultant to various audio visual and recording companies. He also utilized this
time to compile a portfolio of companies and affiliates which later led to the birth of Danzab Recordings.
